Back on the Ballot
I managed to miss the news yesterday about Rahm's return to the ballot. Glad to see it, but I do fear the other candidates are going to be overshadowed. I am not convinced he is the best we can do.
While I appreciate the principal behind some folks being happy to see Emanuel get back on the ballot, I was afraid that media coverage would continue to be heavily biased in his favor.
I was complaining to many media outlets (via some of our more ethical journalists) about this before he was bumped and reinstated. It's been slightly better since then, but the media have not done us any favors here. They're been kissing up to Emanuel like there's no tomorrow, and made it extremely difficult for the voters to make a fair choice.
