We put so much stock in renewables these days, yet I have long believed that this was mostly wishful thinking. The writer, who has experience in renewables, puts wind energy in perspective. He suggests that his conclusions are valid for other forms of renewables. I am sure their supporters will demur, but I suspect he is close to the truth than they wish to believe. Life will not be BAU as we travel further into the post-peak world.
