Carl Osgood has responded, and I have countered via email. Anyone wanting to see more will have to hike over to my LiveJournal community to see everything I felt I needed to say.
For those not interested, I will say it was a classic response. Mr. Osgood obviously feels he will be the butt of derision, but his response is pure Larouche. Long on rhetoric and short on anything else. Anyone interested in what is happening in the world of oil production can hike on over to The Oil Drum, which I first learned of courtesy of Paradise. This specific link is to a roundup of headlines that you can peruse at your leisure, however the very first one refers to a Shell Oil executive getting worried about the future of oil. When the executives, who are beholden to none save their investors, profess to be worried, then perhaps it's time for the rest of us to wake up.
