Desmond Tutu On Africa's Homophobia

There are few authentic voices of moral rectitude, and Desmond Tutu is one of them. This Washington Post article about homophobia in Africa should be on the "must read" list for the Catholic heirarchy and believers. Why? Because many of the imported priests to America are from Africa. Given what Tutu has to say (alongside the Church's unwillingness to revisit its teachings on marriage, family and human sexuality) I suspect some parishes will find themselves heading backwards to keep in step with a clergy whose cultural norms may not be in sync with modern science and scholarship.

Call me paranoid, but Tutu sees a problem and I have no reason to believe the Church sees, let alone cares about, the implications.
