Must See TV

The Crumbling of America. I wonder how much it will cost to fix what ails us, let alone deal with the new infrastructure needed for a post-fossil fuel world.

Our massive network of highways, bridges, and water and sewer pipes is unsustainable, period, and we're going to have to "triage" substantial portions of our 5.7 million mile highway network, along with an equal share of bridges, sewer, and water infrastructure.

We never really could afford this. The massive build out of infrastructure over the pat 50 years owes absolutely to low density suburban sprawl. High density areas were robbed systemically to build this stuff i places of low population density that cannot support it.
