When comic books were just that, comic books. Now they are graphic novels, sometimes. In any case, they are slicker looking than they were in the past, and I just saw how slick with a visit to the Chicago Comic Vault over at Montrose and Ashland. It's run by a guy I know, Matt Sardo, who is working hard at building his business and making connections. Yeah, I know, it's not Evil Squirrel at Glenwood and Morse, which I have yet to visit, but Matt is someone I know. And he passed along this tidbit for you indie film lovers:
Indie Incubator Film Fest: 5 is happening 11/13/07 at Mother's on 26 W. Division St (Dearborn and Division). He will be judging some film shorts, and a new commercial for his store will be shown. It will be posted up at YouTube. Doors open at 8:00 PM, no cover. Now that is something I'd love to see happen here in RP.
