Another Development?

Although not in the 49th. The property leased by Dominick's down on Broadway may be up for sale and redevelopment. The future status of the Dominick's is not certain.

Clearly, that Dominick's was heading for closing -- just looking at it, you can tell that the owners didn't seem to care about keeping it clean and up-to-date like other Dominick's around.

I think it's really the Dominicks on Sheridan and Foster, not the one on Broadway.

I probably mis-read the article, and I know that Dominick's too. I should have cleared my head of the paint fumes before reading it, or posting for that matter.

Actually, they just remodeled that one on Broadway south of Granville and it's great.

yeah and wouldn't it be nice if they did something with the Gateway Dominick's? It resembles a warehouse and not much else.

The Dominick's slated to be closed is on Sheridan, at Foster, not the great store on Broadway at Glenlake.

The Sheridan-Foster store is a dump and has been relegated to third-tier status long ago. It has had no improvements in at least 20 years.

The store at Broadway & Glenlake just got a complete reno, and looks like it's here to stay, especially since it's getting the traffic from the closed store at Ridge & Damen.

The Gateway store on Howard's a born loser. It looks OK just barely. It never has had a good manager. The management is very inattentive- I had a manager paged to complain of the condition of the ladie's room, which is ALWAYS an abomination, and the manager did not answer the page. Last time I will ever shop at that location.
