Thanks to Toni and RPB for pointing me to the DFA site and the process for emailing Jim Dean. Here's what I had to say:
The so-called Open Letter to Don Gordon, from DFA members (they certainly cannot be leaders) here in the 49th ward was despicable. Is this organization about Democracy or the Democrats? Is it willing to let the process work itself out, or is it determined to follow in Republican footsteps and "guide" it?
I know who I voted for and I know that Don Gordon is entitled BY LAW to challenge the vote if he thinks there was illegal activity involved. What DFA thinks is irrelevant. DFA's attempt to insert itself into the legal process is all too typical of organizations that assume they speak for their members, when they don't.
DFA does not speak for me and if this is typical of how DFA conducts itself then I will have no choice but withdraw. I am not interested in belonging to an organization that is unable to accept the diverse opinions that make up a democracy
