Rogers Park Garden Group

We interrupt your regularly scheduled program for this Public Service Announcement.

From Blogger Pamela:

The Rogers Park Garden Group invites you to join them at Charmers Cafe. (PDF Warning).

Pamela writes:

The first meeting will be a presentation on organic garden preparation by John Eskandari of Gethsemane’s and Northwestern at 7 p.m. at Charmers (poster attached). At this meeting we will also announce our first community gardening project which will be planting the big planters at the end of Morse (south side) at Loyola Park. As you may know, those planters have been barren and unkempt for years. We thought this would be a nice place to start beautifying the community and one of the condo buildings on that block got a small grant from Friends of the Park. We will have a formal presentation on the community garden project at our second meeting on 5/29 where Christy Webber will give a talk on container gardening for small and big containers.

I don't exactly have a green thumb, but I am more than happy to assist by putting up the poster for your consideration and viewing pleasure. The group is starting out at ground zero and it's a great idea. We have some gardening geeks in my condominium, and I will be sharing this information with them. Thanks Pam and feel free to add anything I left out that you feel is pertinent.
