Ocean Warming/Cooling

I usually write about Peak Oil, but ran off to Real Climate to check something out and came up with this article about a data error that caused faulty readings leading to faulty conclusions about ocean temperature trends. The reaction of the commentors to the article is that contrarians will be looking for a new paper to justify their views on global climate change.

I personally am convinced that the climate is undergoing significant change, and that whatever affect solar radiation may have is being amplified by human actions over the past 100-200 years. That, and Peak Oil, are creating a Perfect Storm scenario for our progeny, if not us as well. If Peak Oil hits hard, and I personally hope it doesn't, then global climate change will take a back seat to the drama.
