Dave Fagus comments on the shenanigans around the selection of the new Cook County Democratic Party Chairman. After bemoaning the back-room deal that produced a winner, he closes with this classic:
It’s a good thing that the local party has the ability to do what is best for its ward or township.
I haven't decided if that was a joke about the shenanigans, or if he seriously believes that to be true about local party politics as opposed to county politics. If the latter, I have two word for him:

He and Moore supported that guy, I sure didn't. I wonder if they are happy now.
