Having just read this article from The Chicago Reader I've decided to write in Forrest Claypool for President of the Cook County Board. And to the extent I can vote against the spineless, useless, incompetents who allow county problems to fester, I will. God I hope John Daley is one of them. Being Da Mayor's brother is no protection.
Picked up the article while reading The Morose Hellhole. Joe Moore will not get my vote, but I am not certain I want Don Gordon to get it. If I could vote against Fagus, I would.
We live in a time that cannot blindly accept patronage and choices made for personal political power. There is just too much at stake for the local, and larger, community. Unfortunately our so-called leaders are missing that salient point. Out of touch barely describes their mentality.
